FD Day Special Guest Appearance
Mick Foley – “The Hardcore Legend”

Throughout his legendary professional wrestling career, Mick Foley has proven to be arguably the toughest superstar in WWE history. A three-time world champion, Foley is also an accomplished author of autobiographies, novels, and children’s books. Two of his books have topped the NY Times Best Sellers list, and his most recent book, The Hardcore Diaries, recently debuted at No. 7 on the New York Times Nonfiction Best Sellers list.

Often thought of as one of the pioneers who brought the hardcore style to WWE, Foley’s utter disregard for his well-being earned him the title of "The Hardcore Legend". He won his first wrestling championship by defeating The Rock for the WWE title in 1999. He has also wrestled under the names Cactus Jack, Dude Love, and Mankind. Foley lives in Long Island, NY with his wife and four children.

Throughout his career, Mick has supported numerous charities and children’s causes. In his book, The Hardcore Diaries, Mick recounts his visit to Steven Wexler’s Bar Mitzvah. Steven, who has FD, and his dad, Paul (a Dysautonomia Foundation Vice President), arranged for Mick to make a special appearance in 2005 at Camp Simcha Special, where he met many of the boys with FD at the camp. In 2004, Mick represented the Dysautonomia Foundation at CIBC's Miracle Day fundraising event.

Mick will be on hand at FD Day to meet with children, young adults, and FD families. We will have 20 autographed copies of his book, The Hardcore Diaries, for distribution at FD Day.

If you think a tough wrestler can't have a soft heart, check out pages 107 and 121 of The Hardcore Diaries, where Mick talks about his encounters with Steven and Paul Wexler. Mick's experience with FD is just one example of his incredible compassion and his willingness to use his celebrity status as a way to help others. The Hardcore Legend truly has a heart of gold.
