CIBC Miracle Day 2007

Thank you to all who helped us on Miracle Day
Results will be available by March 2008

The Dysautonomia Foundation participated in CIBC's Miracle Day on Wednesday, December 5th, 2007. This was a great opportunity for the Dysautonomia Foundation to raise funds for our vital research, treatment and public awareness initiatives, through the help of traders (from institutional, investment and hedge funds firms) who participated in this one-day event that benefits many children’s charities. CIBC is a Wall Street trading firm. On Miracle Day, CIBC donates all the eligible commissions it earns to carefully selected charities. This year the Dysautonomia Foundation was nominated as one of the charities to benefit from Miracle Day. Last year, participation in Miracle Day on behalf of the Dysautonomia Foundation was a tremendous success, but each year more and more charities compete for the funds raised.

CIBC's commissions earned on these trades on Miracle Day, are donated to participating charities. The Foundation will get a small percentage of those donations, and that small percentage could add up to a significant amount of money. But the Foundation receives a much larger portion of the donations (up to $37,500 per CIBC client) if firms specifically designated that their trades were made on behalf of the Dysautonomia Foundation on Miracle Day. In fact, half of the commissions generated  from those "designated" transactions go directly to the Foundation. CIBC donates its commissions as one of the most generous and forward thinking trading firms today.
