THE FOUNDATION SAYS “THANK YOU”

The first step toward helping our dreams of preventing FD become a reality was to determine the carrier status of our extended family members.

During the month of April the Dysautonomia Foundation sponsored free FD Carrier testing for all the FD families, parents, relatives over the age of 18, and partners of known carriers. The tests were arranged for at both NYU Medical Center and Mt. Sinai Medical Center. Genetic counseling was also provided at these testings. Approximately 500 people were tested at this time.
