On Sunday, June 5th, FD families and friends gathered at NYU Medical Center with physicians, researchers, service providers and their peers. Included in the program was a scientific research progress update by the Chairman of our Scientific Advisory Board, Dr. Michael Brownstein and a clinical progress report entitled “Focus on the Future” by Dr. Felicia Axelrod . David Brenner, President of the Foundation, presented a Physician Service Award to Dr. Stuart Ditchek in acknowledgement of his commitment to the FD community, not only as a dedicated pediatrician, but also for his role in Camp Simcha Special – a very special camp enjoyed by our FD young people. Fun and games, work shops, clowns, rap sessions all helped to ensure the success of the day.
